Next Black Belt Tests and Summer Seminar 2010

Students,

The last Black Belt test before Summer Seminar will be Saturday, June 12 at the Palmetto Cheer gym in Anderson from 12:00 - 4:00. The testing fee will be $35. Bring all weapons. There will be no breaking at this test, but it will be a comprehensive test to cover all required forms, techniques and weapons forms/ sparring. Also there may be a self-defense component of the test based upon technique application (time permitting.)

The Summer Seminar and Black Belt Testing/ Promotion will be in Columbia, SC this year on Saturday, July 3rd.  There will be one large testing/ seminar for all of SC and NC. Testing will be from 10:00am - 12:00pm and Seminar from 1:00 - 4:00. I'll let you know more details once I find them out.

Two New Videos by SBN Huy Pham

Students,
Here are two HD vidoes of Sa Beom Nim Huy Pham doing the newer 18-moving Dan Bong Form and the Left-sided Guhm Moo Hyung. He performed the forms and slower than normal speeds so we could see his stances and hand movements more easily. To date, this is the only left-sided demonstration on the internet!

New Kids Class Hours

Effective November 1, 2009, the kids class will be from 6 pm to 7 pm on Tuesday and Thursday.

2009 National Tournament Results

BSBN Huy Pham competed in the third dahn adult men's 18-39 age division on October 10, 2009. He placed as follows:
Kyuk Pa Hyung: 2nd place
Ee In Jeh Ahp Sool: 1st place
Dahn Ssahng Bong Hyung:1st place
Dahn Ssahng Guhm Hyung: 1st place
Sahm Bahng Cho Cha Ki: (3-board breaks using 2 kicks and 1 hand strike, all in one jump) 1st place
Overall place: 1st!! Huy Pham became a two-time world champion, as is his father.
The next day BSBN Huy Pham was promoted to Sa Bum Nim. Congratulations!!!
